All About the Author, Celena

Hey everyone!  My name is Celena and I'm a "stay at home mama"  to two beautiful, smart, amazing kids that I love with all of my heart, even if they do drive me nuts sometimes!  I've been with my husband, S. for over 5 years now (Yikes!) and he is an absolutely amazing father!  We got married in the beginning of August and it was an absolutely beautiful ceremony and awesome party!

Our son, The Dude, was born in November 2009.  He is so smart that sometimes I'm completely blown away.  Watching him put together puzzles, figure out new concepts, telling stories...everything he does makes me scared for a few years down the road when he might possibly surpass his father and could we even consider home schooling!

Our daughter, The Princess, was born in November 2011 (yup, that's right, exactly 2  years apart), and her nickname suits her perfectly.  She is such a sweetheart, loves music and dancing, and has already shown a passion for shiny shoes like her mama.  On top of these things, she's incredibly rough and tumble and picks on her brother continuously.

Some people may not consider me an "actual" SAHM, I work between 15 and 20 hours a week at a local restaurant.  You may ask "why?", but it's a way for me to get out of the house, and the income that I bring in from working a few nights a week is signifigant, therefore helpful.  I work nights, so S. is home with our kiddos, and I'm home with them during the day while he's at work.  Also, I love waitressing.  Surprising to some?  Maybe, but I really do!

I grew up in a small town in Maine, went to a small high school, and got the hell out of Maine when I graduated high school at 18.  After graduating college in New York, I spent time in Montana, then moved back to New York for a few years until I met S on Myspace (YES, I really just wrote that!) while he was deployed in Iraq.  He came home, we met, long story short?  We're still together and incredibly in love.  And then.....we moved back to the same small town in Maine that I grew up in so we could raise our kiddos here.

This blog is all about my life, the craziness of two kids under the age of 4, two cats, a dog, jobs, wedding planning, budgeting, my love of Pinterest, the drama from S.s Ex and their daughter together, our hopes, plans, dreams, and what actually happens along the way.

I hope you like (love!) my blog and visit, comment, and follow!  Would love to hear from all of you!

  3. Mine are almost exactly 2 years apart too! They are both Feb babies and my daughter is 3 and my son is 1. We are considering homeschooling too. :-)

    1. It was crazy when I found out I was prego again and what my due date was LOL :) It was actually for Dec, but I was 2 weeks early with Princess (I just KNEW that I would be since I was 1 week early with Dude!)

  4. Nice to meet you. We love small towns in Maine and go up there quite often. Yes, I am a Masshole/Flatlander :) It is funny about November birthdays. I am the only one NOT born in November in the family. It makes it a very expensive month for sure.
